What are eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions are a revolutionary new way to have fuller longer lashes without the fuss of mascara. The semi-permanent procedure is applied by a fully certified lash stylist. Synthetic nylon fibers are attached individually and one by one to a natural lash with a medical grade adhesive. Eyelash extensions accentuate and enhance the eye area giving you that extra WOW factor.

How long does the procedure take?

The first initial set will take anywhere from 1-2 hours. Fills can vary from 30min to an hour. (Depending on the set, how long it has been, and how well you take care of your lashes).

Will the application hurt?

The application is not only painless but also relaxing. Your eyes remain closed during the procedure while you unwind on a comfortable bed. The process can be so tranquil that most clients fall asleep!

How long do they last?

Eyelash extensions can last up to a couple months if not more. However, touch-ups are recommended every 2-4 weeks depending on an individuals lash growth cycle. A typical lash cycle is 60 - 90 days, which means as a lash grows and reaches its full adult stage it sheds, and a new lash grows in place. Properly applied lashes will last for the length of the natural growth cycle. With proper care and touchup visits, they can last a very long time. Therefore, it is necessary to get touch-ups to fill in the shed lash in order to maintain a full and luscious look.

Will it ruin my natural lashes?

No, when eyelash extensions are done properly by applying only one individual lash to your own individual lash, using the correct lengths and thicknesses of lashes, there is no harm done to your own lashes. A certified lash stylist will assess the condition and sturdiness of your natural lashes and apply the proper amount in order to maintain the health of your natural lashes. Eyelash extensions applied by an inexperienced or poorly trained eyelash stylists may damage your natural lashes, especially new growth, if they are not applied properly.

Can I still be active?

Of course! After the first 24 hours, the adhesive has completely bonded which allows you to resume your normal activities whether it be swimming, skiing, boating, tanning…etc. lashes with prolonged and excessive exposure to heat and water may lessen the life of your lashes, but will not make them all fall off.

Please do not wear eye makeup to appointments!!
